Job Title: MEAL Coordinator (Part-Time)
Location: Lebanon
Reports to: Lebanon Program Manager
About Makani
Makani is a non-governmental organization dedicated to advancing freedom, equality, and dignity for refugee women and girls. Guided by the belief that every woman has the right to safety, opportunity, and self-determination, Makani provides spaces where refugee women can heal, learn, and thrive.
Makani works in both Lebanon and the UK. In Lebanon, we engage primarily with Syrian and Palestinian refugee women through programs that focus on economic empowerment, education, and therapeutic arts. These initiatives provide practical skills and modest income opportunities while also fostering resilience, creativity, and confidence. By combining training with community-based activities, Makani helps women strengthen their voices, claim their rights, and actively contribute to the well-being of their families and communities.
Our work goes beyond immediate relief; it is about building long-term dignity and agency. Every project is designed to create sustainable impact, ensuring that women are not only supported in overcoming trauma but are also empowered to transform their own lives and inspire change around them.
